For Materialworks, Stylepark AG in Frankfurt and modulor GmbH in Berlin have joined forces: While Stylepark injects in the project its expertise as a communicator in the design scene, its knowledge of sector requirements and the online database, the materials experts at modulor in Berlin contribute expert knowledge of materials, semi-finished products, technologies, sales and logistics.
The aim of the joint project is to develop a professional tool tailored to the needs of designers and architects, that to date simply did not exist in this form.
This is our way of responding to a need on the part of designers, interior designers, architects and project developers, one which has increased in the last few years, for information with regard to materials and the increasingly complex specialist knowledge of materials and technologies.
We would like to do justice to this new enthusiasm for materials with a competent service: With the database and the material editions, Materialworks provides in-depth information on standard materials as well as highly innovative developments, both of which continue to play a subordinate role in design.
We focus on those details that designers really do need in order to be able to understand a material, and evaluate its possible applications in particular projects. At the same time, from the wealth of new products, technologies and improvements, we on the editorial team select those materials that are of particular relevance and interest to designers.
Our aim is to present the entire range of such materials and substances and bring manufacturers and designers together.
As such Materialworks also promises to be an interesting communication platform for manufacturers.
